How do you reward your team?

A recent question to our forum members explored how different companies recognise and reward their FOH and Facilities teams.

Here’s a snapshot of what’s working:

🔹 Peer-Nominated Recognition – Many firms run ‘Thank You’ schemes where employees nominate colleagues who have gone the extra mile, often linked to company values. Approved nominations can earn rewards like £75 Lifestyle gift cards or £20 Amazon vouchers.
🔹 Performance-Based Bonuses – Some teams receive yearly discretionary bonuses or high-performer incentives, with standout contributors receiving up to £1,000 in vouchers.
🔹 Star of the Month – A closed ballot nomination process allows teams to vote for an outstanding colleague each month, with recognition shared internally and on company-wide platforms.
🔹 Social & Team-Building Initiatives – Beyond financial incentives, some teams focus on quarterly team-building events and fun social gatherings to boost morale and engagement.
🔹 Challenges in Implementation – A few companies noted that tracking and fairly rewarding Front of House contributions can be difficult due to the nature of the role, making structured schemes harder to implement.
